The Udemba Group takes its roots from a family tradition of entrepreneurship and leadership which started with the patriarch of the family Pa Udemba Onyenuforo who in 1940 set up a road transportation business as one of the pioneer transport companies in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. His son Uzoma Udemba, shortly after graduating with Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the university of Nigeria Nsukka, set up his own business in the year 1990, fifty years after his father started his. Ceuper Marl, his Civil Engineering consulting practice later gave birth to Schwartz Kristoffel Engineering set up to provide specialized Geosynthetics and foundation Engineering services specifically to the oil and Gas industry. The company has remained the clear industry leader in the areas of Geosynthetics and flexible structures in Civil Engineering construction industry in Nigeria.
